STACKED FACTS CHALLENGE

STACKED FACTS CHALLENGE

Challenge your mind and mad dash skills with a life-size Jenga relay challenge! Attendees will be split into teams and each teammate will take a turn running to their own 4 foot tall Jenga set up. Before they can remove a piece, they must correctly answer a question about their own organization/company or a Colorado-related question (i.e. what are the colors of the CO flag? What is the state bird? etc.).

If they don’t know the answer, they can use their team as a life-line to figure it out. Once answered correctly, the contestant can remove a piece and stack their block on top. The first team to have their Jenga set reach a designated height, without knocking it over, wins!

CHEYENNE DAUNTLESS DASH

CHEYENNE DAUNTLESS DASH

Time to get muddy with a buddy in the Springs with the Cheyenne Dauntless Dash. Colorado is home to a myriad of mud and obstacle races including the Spartan Race, which is held in Colorado Springs every summer. With the Cheyenne Dauntless Dash, attendees will be split into teams and challenged to complete a one-mile course featuring ten obstacles. This Spartan-inspired race will feature both water and land challenges that will have attendees crawling under wires, carrying logs up a hill to build a sculpture, paddleboarding to a buoy in the lake, climbing a cargo net, and topping it off with a beverage of choice at the end. All team members must cross the finish line together in order to win.

*Event and obstacle intensity can be customized according to group preference.

BUILD A CANOE

BUILD A CANOE

Hundreds of years ago, Native Americans used canoes to navigate the waters of Colorado’s mighty rivers. Why not put your carpentry skills to work with the Build A Canoe challenge? Attendees will be divided into teams that will be given a box of identical materials and tools they can use to build a canoe within a specific timeframe. The catch, they will not be given directions!

Each team will need to work together and figure out how best to use the materials provided to build a canoe that won’t sink. Participants will then select one person from each team to represent them in the Sink or Float Canoe Off, a 50-yard canoe race in the resort’s private 35-acre recreation lake. This competition will recognize two teams based on 1) canoe construction and design and 2) the race winner.

  • Group Size: 50-150 people
  • Skill Level: Moderate
  • Price: prices vary based on group size and length of event

LOCALLY SOURCED & POURED

LOCALLY SOURCED & POURED

It’s no longer news that Colorado is home to a burgeoning craft distillery movement. Throughout the state, locals are creating some of the finest spirits in the country. Unleash the mixologist in you with the Locally Sourced & Poured skills challenge. After listening to a brief  educational seminar on spirits by a professional mixologist, attendees will be divided into teams. An emcee will then lead a round of liquor related questions based off the lecture. However many questions a team answers correctly, will determine the number of ingredients they are able to “buy” from the store.

Teams will then work together to select fresh ingredients and Colorado  liquors to create their signature concoction—name and all. Members from the resort’s Food & Beverage team, as well as the professional mixologist will serve as panel judges and will award the top three libations based on the drink’s presentation, flavor and creative use of ingredients.

  • Group Size: 50-150 people

GEOCACHING HUNT

GEOCACHING HUNT

Geocache: an item, typically a container holding a number of other items, that has been hidden at a location whose coordinates have been posted on the Internet

Colorado is a tech state. So why not add a tech twist to your teambuilding competition? Coordinate your coordinates to find the clues that will get you to the holy grail in the Geocaching Hunt. Attendees will be divided into groups and given a GPS device and one set of coordinates at the start line. Each team must use the coordinates to find the first geocache, take a   picture there, and secure the first piece of the puzzle/sculpture they’ll have to assemble at the finish line. They will also find coordinates to the next geocache location. In total, teams must find all 10 geocaches to assemble the puzzle or sculpture correctly and cross the finish line.

Participants will be given the opportunity to support one of the areas that are important to Colorado Springs and the state. Current options include projects that benefit our service members, pets and the environment.

Depending on the needs of the charity at the time, attendees may be tasked with assembling wheelchairs for the Wounded Warrior Project, sewing and stuffing dog chew toys for the Pikes Peak Humane Society, or building beehives for the Pikes Peak Bee Keepers Association to offset the growing decline of bees in our state and the U.S.
