08/10/2016

Accommodations and a unique autumn bike tour offer memorable mountain experiences.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 10, 2016)— Experience the thrill of a downhill ride or the nostalgia of an old mining camp, while surrounded by spectacular autumn foliage views in Cheyenne Canyon with The Fall Foliage Scenic Bike Tour Package. Four diamond Cheyenne Mountain Resort & Pikes Peak Bike Tours have created a discounted guest package featuring a unique mountain bike experience combining Colorado’s invigorating outdoor mountain fun and glorious fall scenery for those looking for adventure, with the pampering and convenience of an all inclusive resort for those who like their creature comforts. The bike tour is designed for all skill levels and all of the gear is provided. After a full day riding in the ‘saddle,’ exploring history or stoking that adrenaline rush, relax ‘back at the ranch’ with Cheyenne Mountain Resort’s upscale accommodations and casual dining, along with many amenities and activities. The Fall Foliage Scenic Bike Tour Package is available September 1, 2016—October 31, 2016. Pricing is tiered, starting at $179.00 per person, not including tax, gratuity and fees.
There’s more than one way to descend a mountain or traverse a trail and The Fall Foliage Scenic Bike Tour Package gains access to historic Gold Camp Road. The course for Gold Camp is a well worn dirt and gravel trail etched along an old railroad route with tunnels, known as the Old Short Line, that meanders through forest and canyons, skirting the remains of a rough and tumble, rags to riches gold mining past. This tour provides amazing vistas, brilliant fall foliage colors and a fun ride for all skill levels.
“The Fall Foliage Scenic Bike Tour Package gives visitors an opportunity to truly experience the wonder of nature in the crisp fresh air and the awesome beauty of our fall foliage,” said Rachel O’Hara, marketing manager, at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. “Pikes Peak Bike Tours are experts at managing the logistics and gear for cycling at all skill levels. This tour pays homage to Colorado’s rich, pioneering history filled with adventure, courage and grit, with the added luxury of knowing that comfortable accommodations, resort amenities and great food awaits you at trail’s end. All biking and lodging details are taken care of for you, so just enjoy the ride and scenery!”
