COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Feb. 20, 2016 – This spring break, take the family to the “No School, Kids Rule” camp-inspired experience at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. From on-property movie nights, games, and gourmet campfire s'mores to off-property treks at the only mountain zoo in the United States, families have endless options to forge a new adventure worthy of bragging rights. Over three weeks, pint-sized guests and their parent chaperones will enjoy festivities happening at the resort every weekend starting Friday, March 11 through Sunday, March 27.

“Every year we work to craft a hearty lineup of activities that kids and kids at heart can enjoy together,” said Curtis Bova, Director of Sales and Marketing at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. “We know we’ve accomplished our job when we see faces light up after a kiddo has built the tallest s’more or petted live animals at our morning zoo breakfasts.”

“No School, Kids Rule” Spring Break activities will include:

  • Family-friendly films:  Open to guests, Cheyenne Mountain Resort will treat families to complimentary family-friendly films every Saturday at 2:00 pm and “teen” movies starting at 7:00 pm in our indoors stadium-style auditorium. Throw in complimentary popcorn and lemonade for everyone and the day is set!
  • Complimentary Beer and Root Beer Tastings: For parents wanting to wet their whistle, local breweries will have Colorado craft brews on hand to taste every Friday and Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.  And for the little ones, delicious Colorado craft Root Beer to sample!
  • Gourmet S’mores Bar:  Not to be outdone, Cheyenne Mountain Resort is known for its gourmet s’mores bar featuring caramel, nuts, peanut butter, banana chips, bacon and more. Every Friday and Saturday evening from 6:30-9:30 pm the resort will have a roaring campfire going at their large stone fire pit as guests enjoy mountainous views over the resort and scrumptious handmade s’mores.
  • Zoo Breakfasts:  Unlike any other in Colorado, resort guests will be treated to breakfast and visits with live animals from the only mountain zoo in America, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Visits will happen each and every Saturday morning from 8:30-10:00 am in the vestibule of the resort.
  • Pool Games: For those ready to dive into Spring Break, Cheyenne Mountain Resorts’ indoor pool will be open all week until 7:00pm with games like Minefield Relay Races and Swimming Pool Scrabble every Saturday afternoon.
  • Sunday Brunch: Sunday mornings, guests can wind down the weekend with an award-winning champagne brunch from 10:00am - 2:00pm. The resort's popular Easter Sunday Brunch will be on Sunday, March 27th (by reservation only.).
