COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Dec. 18, 2015 – Jay Rocha, general manager at the AAA Four Diamond Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Benchmark Hospitality property, appointed Brandon Schuster to Director of Rooms. Schuster takes the reigns of one of the largest experiential resorts in Colorado Springs, overseeing housekeeping, valet, guest services and security. A hospitality industry expert, Schuster has traversed the west coast perfecting his leadership and operational skills at notable hotels like the Palm Springs Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, CA; the Nines in Portland, OR and the Laguna Cliffs Marriot Resort and Spa in Dana Point, CA.

As Director of Rooms, Schuster will work alongside the general manager to ensure the 316-room resort operates at maximum operational efficiency, while preserving the personalized service levels guests have come to expect at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. “Next year is a defining year for our resort. We are preparing to execute a series of initiatives to build upon our commitment to providing authentic Colorado experiences,” said Rocha. “Brandon’s leadership, strategy and charisma perfectly complements a leadership team poised to make 2016 a year of notable achievements for the resort.”

Prior to joining Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Schuster served as Director of Services at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot Resort and Spa and the Nines. Most recently, he moved to Palm Springs and served as Director of Rooms at the Palm Springs Riviera Resort and Spa. Under his leadership, he set new standards of excellence through room inspection protocols, training and new housekeeping processes. In the front of the house, he implemented a new front office room upgrade program that created a more consistent guest experience and resulted in a year-over-year revenue increase.

Schuster is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
