Heath Patrick, Director of Conference Services and Catering
Heath oversees all aspects of event management at Cheyenne Mountain Resort to include convention services and catering sales. He started in food and beverage at his family restaurant, and after graduating from college began his Hotel Career with Hyatt Hotels. He has also worked for Westin and Marriott in both operations and sales capacities. Heath is a past NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) Board Member, he enjoys keeping up with all of the special event trends with a passion for providing spectacular service to all guests. Heath is a Colorado Native and enjoys spending free time with his friends, family and dog in our beautiful outdoors.
Melodie Owens, Director of Catering
Melodie began her hospitality career when she moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 1985. She started in Housekeeping, then as the Front Office Manager, Convention Services Manager and eventually the Director of Convention Services. Melodie's career continued at a resort in Vail, where she planned celebrity weddings and charity events. Since moving to Colorado Springs she has received the Tourism Industry Employee of the Year Award, The Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association Employee of the Year Award, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association Manager of the Year Award. Melodie was raised in a military family and has lived all over the world and is very involved with all aspects of our military community. She is a member of the Chamber Military Affairs Council and has been Honorary Commander of the 302d Airlift Wing for the past 5 years. She volunteers for countless other organizations that involve assisting our military neighbors and loves the nonprofit events she is involved with at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Melodie's true passion is in planning events and giving back to her community.
Heather Snow, Senior Catering Manager
Heather began her career in the hotel industry in 1985. Her first position was in the food and beverage department, furthering her career through convention services, sales and catering. Most recently Heather has chosen to pursue her passion for planning events and specialized catering at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Heather has lived, worked and played in Colorado Springs 24 years.
John Kerr III, Catering Event Manager
John began his career in the hospitality industry in 1996, working his way through a multiplicity of positions both in and out of the guests view. John began planning weddings in 2005 and joined the Cheyenne Mountain Resort Catering team in early 2011. A member of the Colorado Springs Young Professionals Mr. Kerr enjoys local fundraisers and any chance he can get to sample the local fare. John is committed to making that one special day a reality for everyone he serves. Weddings, B'nai mitzvahs, club dinners and corporate outings, don't ever be afraid to dream big.
