Colorado Springs Wedding

We know there’s a lot that goes into planning your special day, from narrowing down the guest list to choosing the perfect wedding venue! Whether you want an intimate ceremony or a grand celebration, get inspired with these tips and tricks for planning the most spectacular Colorado Springs wedding.

Select the right venue (and book your perfect date!)

When choosing your wedding venue, you’ll first want to determine whether you prefer an indoor or outdoor setting. If you’re looking for an outdoor wedding venue in Colorado Springs, consider having your ceremony atop our lush Pete Dye-designed golf course. A tava green ceremony boasts stunning pictures with rolling hills and majestic mountains, perfect for those who want a nature-centered wedding. Cheyenne Mountain Resort also offers ceremonies on our private lake’s beach, which is a popular spot for couples from all over the country.

You’ll also want to take into account the size of your wedding party. Our Quail Terrace is ideal for smaller parties and can accommodate up to sixty guests, while our Grand Rivers Terrace can accommodate parties up to two hundred. Both offer spectacular mountain views but differ in size.

No matter the ceremony, follow up with a celebration in one of our many elegant ballrooms or courtyards. Your Wedding Sales Manager will help you know which space can best cater to your wedding, whether it’s in the Centennial Ballroom at 4,876 square feet (plenty of space to host a big family), or in one of our more intimate spaces – such as the Remingtons.

NPR estimates that in 2022 there will be 2.5 million U.S. weddings, the most since 1984. Most wedding venues’ calendars are already filling up fast. To make sure you get the dates you want, contact your ideal venues as far in advance as possible. If the weekend, isn’t available, maybe consider a weekday. 2022 will certainly be the year of weddings on all days of the week.

Pick the Right Photographer

When researching photographers, be sure to look over their portfolios to get a feel for their previous work. Chances are, you already have a certain look in mind for your wedding photos, like a bohemian, moody, or classic aesthetic. Do you prefer landscape shots to portrait? Maybe it is important for you to have a certain percentage of candid shots. You’ll want to keep all these preferences in mind when scanning a photographer’s portfolio. If their photos all have the same look, make sure this represents your desired style. Some photographers have a consistent style while others can vary in their photography.

Of course, before you hire your photographer, you will want to discuss packages and prices. Many couples also like to meet their photographer in person to make sure it’s a good fit, since they will be joining you on your special day.
